Music is part of my touch stone of inspirations and singers like Kendrick Lamar whom I have the nickname 'King Dynamite' for him and other socially conscientious songwriters feed into my work and come out in the work as I paint as I have them playing in the background. Colour is vivid subject varied and line and form blossom. My inspirations are detritus or residual ephemera on the street, form in street furniture and woman as repressed.  Stigmatised with a mental health diagnosis my art is seen through this angle sometimes as it deals with lived experiences of my being held under the mental health act in hospitals. Part of my work means using verse, poetry, writing. I am writing a book with many aphorisms and allegories representing mental anguish, hope and fear always with a wry humour 'Don't mix up your paint with your lipstick' is one of many phrases I have created. Born Paris 1980 my art is influenced by people, the past, memory, nostalgia and repression. In London, I curated an exhibition with many artists who are open to fluid interchange and conversation with people on the margins of society.
